I wanted to write this quick email to express my deepest gratitude for the financial support that I have received over the past two years from the Society. Your scholarships have allowed me to worry less about my financial situation and devote more time to my studies, which resulted in me becoming a better individual and stronger member of the warren county community. It is with great pleasure that I can announce my admission to University of Louisville School of Medicine Class of 2015! I recognize that this occurred in part to your support.
As you are aware, the pre-med curriculum is a difficult one. Not only because of classes and extracurricular activities, but because of the sheer amount of uncertainty that every pre-med student has about their future. Seeing the low medical school acceptance rate, which often lies in the single digit percentiles, and the massive amount of competition around them just adds to the stress. It is through generous acts such as yours that give pre-medical students optimism about medicine. Seeing physicians that have made it through the process gives inspiration and hope. I am glad that the Society realizes how important financial support is to undergraduate students and thank you for all that you have done for me. I hope that the Society continues to sponsor future WKU pre-med students.

P.S. Even though my time at WKU is at an end, I have many comrades that are still fighting to get into medical school. If any members or the Society as a whole would like to get more involved in the pre-med curriculum at WKU, Alpha Epsilon Delta would serve as the perfect host for this. AED is the health pre-professional organization at WKU. It sponsors many activities and scholarships for the pre-med students and serves as the central hub of communication between the pre-meds.
